These terms are part of the rental contract you sign when you pick up your bike at Kalura Bike Station. Please read them before you book.
1. The rental contract
The contract states:
- the rented bike (e.g. mountain bike or road bike) and its Kalura number
- the rental period (days, from … to …)
- the rental price, the cash deposit and any advance payment
- the accessories handed over
- your details: first and last name, place of residence and postcode, room number or hotel, email, place, date and signature
2. Payment and deposit
- The full rental price and any deposit are paid before the bike is handed over. The deposit is paid in cash.
- The rental price is not refunded if you return the bike early.

3. Picking up the bike
- You must check the condition of the bike when you pick it up.
- By signing the contract you confirm that the bike is in proper, defect-free condition and you accept these terms.
4. Use and care
- The bike may not be passed on to third parties.
- Treat it with care, keep it in a safe place and lock it under cover, protected from rain and moisture.
- Do not use force on the wheel or seat-post quick releases – ask our staff if needed.
- Do not over-grease the chain and keep it clean.
- You may not carry out any mechanical work on the bike – please report any problem to our staff.
5. Damage, theft and liability
- The bikes are not insured. You use the bike at your own risk.
- To the extent permitted by law, Kalura Bike Station is not liable for damage caused by the use of the bike to you, other people or property.
- You are fully liable for damage to the bike caused by falls, improper handling or theft. Normal wear and tear, ageing and material fatigue are excluded.
- Falls, accidents and damage must be reported to the Bike Station immediately.
6. Return
- The bike must be returned on the agreed date, clean and dry.
- If you prefer, we clean it for a flat fee of € 5 per bike.
7. Accessories
On request we provide a lock, pump, helmet and spare inner tube (€ 5 if used). The accessories handed over are noted in the contract.
